Welcome to Dusky Feathers Waterfowl, located in Manitoba, Canada.
We’ve been keeping ducks for a number of years now, focusing on restoring and preserving heritage breeds, with a parallel interest in the science of color genetics and discovering more about the complexities that create all the different phenotypes we are so familiar with.

Breeding programs are planned carefully to improve quality, generation after generation. Our ducks enjoy a healthy, natural environment with ample opportunity to forage, providing us with excellent hatching eggs and robust ducklings.

It’s lambing time on this duck farm!!
As many of you know, we also run about 1100 sheep and May til July are the months the shearing is done and all the lambs are born which means some VERY busy days (and nights!) During this time we are often too busy to respond to duck related emails so we ask for your patience.
FAQs
Regarding hatching eggs: the ducks are enjoying some well deserved rejuvenation on green pastures. During this time of summer they run together as one flock so no pure hatching eggs are available. We do NOT sell mixed breed hatching eggs. 2026 pre orders open in October.
Regarding ducklings: If there are any ducklings available, we will be posting them on the “FOR SALE!!” tab of this website
Regarding adults: Young adults will be available mid summer/early fall. We will post various groups on the website as they become available so stay tuned!
(Ducks are farm pick up only. No shipping of live birds at this time.)
